Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 4, 2026
Food Finder is committed to making our platform usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a minimum standard.
1. What we do
- Semantic HTML, proper heading order, and ARIA labels where appropriate.
- Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA.
- Alt text for meaningful images.
- Resizable text without loss of functionality up to 200%.
- Visible focus indicators.
- Form fields with clear labels and error messages.
2. Known limitations
Some user-generated content (photos, listings) may not include alt text or full accessibility metadata. We encourage users to provide descriptive titles and clear photos. Third-party components (such as the Stripe payment overlay) follow their own accessibility standards.
3. Need help or want to report a barrier?
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need content provided in an alternative format, please email accessibility@foodfinder.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days and will work with you to provide the information or service you need.
4. Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We test new features against WCAG 2.1 AA before release and welcome feedback from the community.
